Chalakilis at KFC

Less than a month after it introduced the Chicken Kelaguen, Kentucky Fried Chicken is at it again — coming up with the latest addition to its line of delicious, lip-smacking menus that will have you licking your fingers long after the last morsel is gone and what’s left on your tray are just the remnants.
KFC brings the Chalakilis to Saipan, a genuine island recipe which is a regular family everyday meal on Guam.
A semi-thick rice porridge with just the right consistency and mixed with a generous amount of diced chicken, onions, garlic and other spices, the Chalakilis stands as a meal by itself, or eaten with a combination of other KFC meals.
“If you can’t have enough of a bowl of Chalakilis, go for the KFC combo,” KFC/Taco Bell manager Yole Panganiban said.
A Chalakilis combo consists of a bowl of hot Chalakilis, one piece crunchy chicken, any side order of coleslaw, macaroni salad and other choices, and a medium-sized drink.
“The Chalakilis is one of the genuine island flavors close to the heart of the community,” Panganiban said.
Start your day right with a bowl of Chalakilis. It is suitable on a cold day or just any ordinary day. Chalakilis and the KFC Chicken Kelaguen Platter/Chicken Kelaguen Tortillas are available at the KFC Chalan Kanoa starting today and everyday from 8:00 AM 10:00 PM.
