Crazily hot over pizza

When the cravingfor pizza hits you, there’s only one place to go in Palau that guarantees absolute satisfaction- the Rock Island café located across the Palau High School gymnasium.
Known for its best-tasting pizza compared to other establishments who are serving pizza here, Viola Gibbons said their pizza has a distinctive taste that is uniquely their own.
“We are equipped with the proper facilities and the needed expertise in making our pizzas stand out among the rest,” Viola said.
It took Liz just a phone call Viola arranged to serve us two of the café’s bestsellers-the Rock Island Café House special pizza and cheese steak sub- a filling combination of hot sliced steak topped with mushrooms, onions, bell pepper and melted mozzarella. A full meal indeed, enough to satisfy you for hours. The cheese steak sub comes with a generous serving of French fries and tomato sauce dip.

Like the other Rock Island Café sandwiches, it is priced affordably for only $6.35.
Just looking at the 16-incher House Special pizza is enough to make your mouth water and urge you to dig your teeth into it’s creamy topping of onions, Canadian bacon, pepperoni, mushrooms, black olives, and Italian sausage. You have to at least find 4 or 5 companions to share it. Rock Island Café House Special come in three sizes- 8 inches, 12 inches and 16 inches, priced at $11, $17.50 and $23 respectively. Down it with your favorite drink and presto, quench your craving and stay sated. Rock Island Café is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sundays to Fridays, and close on Friday evening until Saturday evening. For orders/inquiries please call 488-1010 or 488-1406.
